I enjoyed this weekend. I cannot wait until next year. Now I can't wait to get my prize pack from Scrapbook.com.

What I have learned/did on NSBD 2010

I have been so thankful for National Scrapbook Day (NSBD).
  • I have gotten 7 LOs done.
  • I sewed, which is something i never do
  • I watched Praise The Lord, Tori and Dean, and House of Payne.
  • I worked for over 12 hours. And will finish 2 LOs today.
  • Making a list beforehand was very helpful
  • A made a few new friends, but was able to chat with one
  • I am thankful that I now have a scanner. it made uploading so much easier.
  • Most of all I won a prize (praise the LORD)
I won a prize pack worth over $75 from Scrapbook.com. That makes 2 years in a row. I won on Scrap In Style.com last year. Which is shutting down in 13 days. :(. I loved that site. sigh. I got 5 layouts for Yazmen's prom album done. That is a relief.

I will share the LOs once I am finished. : )

Why I love Copics

Ok. I have started my "collection" of Copic Markers. I have found the best place to buy them, which is Carpe Diem. They are the least expensive store that I have found. The sketch markers are only $3.95. (Let me know if you check some from them, it would just be interesting to know). AND if you spend $100 (on the sketch only), you get free shipping. That is a $14.95 savings. So the other reasons I love Copics are:

  • Transparent. I love that you can see the stamped image through the coloring
  • Blend very well
  • A variety of colors (334)
  • Refillable which saves $$$
  • Lasts for years and years
  • Shaped to not roll off the table and is comfortable in your hand
  • The names and numbers are on the tops
  • They can be stored and any way (I store mine right-side up in a box)
  • Colors evenly
  • Can be used directly with stamps (you have to spray the blender soln or alcohol on the stamp)
  • Mistakes can be corrected by "smooshing" the color back toward the line using the blender pen.
  • Can be matched with cardstock from other companies (i.e Stampin' Up)
  • There are so many tutorials that demonstrate a variety of techniques. I love You Tube for this.

Jermaine Sellers On Idol

I have loved Jermaine Sellers Music since Sunday's Best Season 1. He ended up being 2nd runner up. In my eyes he should have won. Well now he is on American Idol Season 9. I can not wait to see his journey on Idol this season.
